This video is for a friend who is pregnant and studying for the Bar. It’s a mindfulness practice integrating a body scan for cultivating clarity of vision & peace of mind…  Good for those with child & those who are not 😉

Sometimes it can be challenging to make shifts in mindset and behavior patterns when we are in transtiion from one chapter of our lives into the next. After exams this semester, my final semester, it made sense to take a couple of days for quiet in the woods. I shot this video as soon as I got back in the hopes of giving myself a bridge to get back to the feelings of calmness & serenity I experienced while on retreat (camping). It’s a quick guided meditation to help ground us in “woods energy,” or feeling quiet and peaceful.

Feeling rushed?  Overwhelmed with all you’ve got on your plate?  Not sure how you’ll find the time for everything?  It may seem counter-intuitive, but try taking a BREAK…  Ideally, under a tree…  Check out this short video for a guided meditation you can do to rest your mind, release tension in your body & set a positive tone for the rest of your day…

Often called ‘the father of modern yoga,’ BKS Iyengar wrote that enjoyment comes through awareness of all of one’s senses. This quick guided meditation over a cuppa coffee will hopefully help you to experience what Iyengar was talking about.  In so doing, hopefully it will also bring you an experience of peace and quiet as you start your day…

I’m nervous about this one, y’all — it’s my first podcast & I recorded it in four stream of consciousness gasps for expression…  So much more here to talk about, for decades…

My first attempt at sketching out some of the ideas on this blog…  The question is, what does wellness LOOK like and what does it look like for groups, or for society, when “we” as individuals, attain it?  There is a feeling generated is my theory, a wavelength of attention that facilitates communication on deeper and deeper, more efficient, levels…

Stillness Is Important Too

Something I do pretty often is take Madame out to the woods for a jog.  It is surprisingly hard though for me to enjoy this time without the distraction of Pandora in my head phones.  I suppose it helps me get into an exercise groove.  But what does it prevent me from doing?  Being present in a different way…

Today we had a great time in quietude.  Just for a few moments.  But that was all I needed.

Never underestimate the value of a good break from noise, even if it’s noise that normally keeps you focused and moving.  That stillness is important too.

Check out this quick stone meditation to start your day or just take a break & re-charge…
